TERRAIN PARK USERS!!!
It's not a rumour, as you may have heard…Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario is allowing you to go bigger and better in the terrrian park! Now you can showcase your talent in full-on self-expresion sessions without the worries of getting your ticket clipped. Why you ask? Because we want you to have fun in the terrain park, but ride responsibly. So what is the catch then? The catch is rather quite simple, and is really not a catch at all. All you need to do, is attend a 30 minute orientation on park safety. That's it! You only have to attend once, and yes….if you are planning to enter the park at all this year, you must attend this sesion - Even if you don't want to jump higher or jib longer. The orientation is in the building north of the Century Express Chair ( beside Badlands), and is not on snow….just a quick video. Once you have completed the orientation, strap in – and your free to head up the Badlands Double Chair where a wonderland of tables, spines, hips, rails, and halfpipes await. You will receive a pass (similar to the season pass), that will be your entry ticket, and must be displayed like a lift ticket. You will then be instructed to sign a release form, and if you are under 18, make sure your parents are there to sign for you! Helmets are not mandatory, but are still strongly recommended.

So there you have it! Major kickbacks, for a minor lesson. Let's keep the park to those who are capable of riding it, and those who deserve to be there! That's one small step for Blue Mountain, one giant leap towards terrain park evolution!

*Riding safely is the most important thing to remember. You'll never progress if your always injured. Inverts are never recommended to those who arent capable – nor are any other jumps or jibs. Inverts are only permitted in the halfpipe!
