TIPS ON RIDING BLUE MOUNTAIN ONTARIO
Heading up to Blue Mountain? Going to the Pipe Jam? Well, here are some tips on riding Blue that will definitely make the trip much more enjoyable.

  • Singles lines at 6 packs, and you will NEVER wait more than 5 minutes.
  • Try the curved rail, it's easier than it looks, and you'll feel like a rockstar
  • Sometimes once the lower pipe has been chewed up, you can find some pretty good hits in the upper one. People tend to ignore it.
  • Mornings are also good, because your average rider doesn't get out until 11 or so. Park basically empty until 10-10:30.
  • Best cruiser run: O-Hill. Generally smaller lift lines.
  • Weekdays in park less crowded.
  • Check out new pipe constructed totally out of snow at the top of Big Baby.


  • Badland and Pickle Pipes are cut every night after closing and therefore the best time to ride these pipes is first thing in the morning.
  • Badlands pipe is also cut every Wednesday and Friday at 4:00 for Pipe series and Burton pipe jam
  • Pickle pipe generally less crowded.
  • Best freeriding after a dump is at the north end.
  • Table tops in Badland park generally best in mid afternoon when landings are soft.
  • Photo ops during friday night pipe jam
  • In order to ride badlands park, all riders must attend safety seminar. To avoid the crowds attend a pre season seminar or arrive first thing in the morning especially on weekends.
