The first few PIPE JAM events on Fridays at Blue Mountain have been truly unbelievable! The turn out of riders has been simply incredible, there has been tons of prizes to be had and the conditions have been great - despite some earlier dire predictions. The Halfpipe is always well groomed and holds up solid all night. The events kick off with MC Shane Dennis from Burton and held down by DJ's Two Swift Household from Universal Music. Riders of all levels and abilities drop in to the pipe just after 6pm and ride until nearly 10pm while Kristy from Burton hooks up many riders with all sorts of prizes for going big, bustin large, looking in charge, taking the most runs and all those people having a great time. There are hook-ups on hill and in the village for all participants, no matter what your ability or skill level. All you have to do is come out, drop in, hang out and have tons of fun, that is what PIPE JAM is about! The Mountain Dew Crew is busy floating out mad Code Red drinks and rewarding riders with prizes for taking shots at their basketball hoop, which somebody wins at the end of every event! The XBOX video game system and their whole posse are on site taking care of everybody that checked out their insane new video game AMPED:Freestyle Snowboarding, which some argued is so good that it might be better than the real thing! Burton puts their equipment at everyone's disposal to get out and demo some awesome new set-ups and then proceed to take it to another level with their Snow Deck Competition. Smith helps out a ton and gives away some super sick goggles over the course of the nights and Pizza Pizza freaks everybody out with everything from Free Slices coupons to Pizza Pizza Parties and then floors everyone with a FREE PIZZA PIZZA FOR A YEAR give-a-way! The result of all of this hard work on the part of Boardpass, Burton, Blue Mountain and all our sponsors Mountain, XBOX, Pizza Pizza, Universal Music, Molson Canadian, and Smith is exactly what you would imagine and the pictures below tell the whole story! We really want thank all of our riders and sponsors for making these events go off the hook and will be looking forward to taking it up a level every Friday until February 8th, after which we are gonna have a HUGE PARTY!
